The fourth edition of Fare Cinema, the festival dedicated to the promotion of Italian cinema and its film industry, will take place online from June 14 to 20. This year’s theme is Reboot: Italian Cinema Restarts (Reboot – Il cinema Italiano riparte).
Fare Cinema is a yearly initiative organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and created in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT), the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the National Association of Cinematic, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries (ANICA – Italy) and the Istituto Luce Cinecittà.

This series focuses on the impact of the pandemic on the film industry in Italy. Short videos dedicated to cinema crafts and trades will speak to the industry’s ability to react under the pressure of such a crisis.

This event is presented in collaboration with Fondazione Cinema per Roma.

To mark the second annual World Day of Italian Cinema, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has renewed its collaboration with the Academy of Italian Cinema (Accademia del cinema italiano) and the National Association of Cinematic, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries (ANICA – Italy) to bring to audiences the screening of the five titles selected in the “Best Short” category at the 2021 edition of the David di Donatello Awards.
