This programme supports excellent 30-month research projects to be conducted by outstanding Principal Investigators (PIs) of any nationality choosing Padua and one of its 32 Departments as their working base.<\/p>\n<p>The STARS@UNIPD call aims at encouraging high quality, innovative and ambitious research in all scientific areas, offering support to ground-breaking ideas with definite potential to turn into competitive proposals for international funding, including the prestigious European Research Council grants.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, <strong>STARS Starting Grants<\/strong> (STARS-StGs) are designed to fund promising PIs who have defended their first PhD within maximum 5 years prior to 1<sup>st<\/sup> January 2025, and who are beginning to establish their own research team and\/or starting their own independent research.<\/p>\n<p>More information about the funding programme is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/en\/stars2025\">https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/en\/stars2025<\/a>.\u00a0The application deadline is on <strong>21 March 2025 at 1:00 p.m<\/strong>.
