{"id":623,"date":"2022-10-04T02:48:15","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T00:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcanberra.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2022\/10\/protocollo-d-intesa-sulla-collaborazione-2\/"},"modified":"2022-10-04T02:48:15","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T00:48:15","slug":"protocollo-d-intesa-sulla-collaborazione-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcanberra.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2022\/10\/protocollo-d-intesa-sulla-collaborazione-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Memorandum of Understanding on a Strategic Partnership between the Lombardy Region and the State of Victoria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 3 October 2022, the President of the Lombardy Government, Attilio Fontana, signed in the presence of the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau, a Memorandum of Understanding on a Strategic Partnership.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/10\/1.jpg\" alt=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The signing of the protocol comes after an intense activity of strengthening institutional, economic and commercial relations between the Lombardy Region and Victoria promoted and supported by the Embassy of Italy in Canberra and the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/10\/2.jpg\" alt=\"2\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Memorandum confers stategic depth to the cooperation between the Lombardy Region and the State of Victoria in the following sectors:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 sustainable economic recovery and growth;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 waste management and circular economy;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 agricultural and food industries;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 defence and aerospace;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 cultural and creative industries;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 sport;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 vocational training &#038; techincal and further education.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2022\/10\/3.jpg\" alt=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The strategic partnership will serve as a platform to activate the many complementarities between the Lombardy &#038; Victorian economic systems and will further elevate the existing Sister City relationship between Comune di Milano &#038; the City of Melbourne, the 20th anniversary of which will be celebrated in 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On 3 October 2022, the President of the Lombardy Government, Attilio Fontana, signed in the presence of the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau, a Memorandum of Understanding on a Strategic Partnership.
