The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is offering scholarship to foreign students and Italian citizens resident abroad (IRE)* for the academic year 2026-2027, with the aim of fostering cooperation in the cultural, scientific and technological fields, the projection of Italy’s economic system throughout the world and the dissemination of knowledge of the Italian language and culture (ref. Law 288/55 and subsequent amendments and supplements).
Scholarships are offered for study, training and/or research programs at Italian state or legally recognised institutions.
The grant only covers attendance of courses in the Italian territory.

Deadline for submitting online applications is 26 March 2026 at 2.00 pm Italian time.

* Scholarships for Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) are offered exclusively to students holding only Italian citizenship and exclusively for the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Peru, United Kingdom, Senegal, Spain, South Africa, Tunisia, Uruguay and Venezuela.
