Ambassador Paolo Crudele presented his letters of credentials to the President of the Republic of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere on September 26 and by doing so he was accredited as Ambassador of Italy also to these Authorities.
He had institutional meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Transport, as well as with representatives of the Pacific Islands Forum and the Pacific Islands Development Forum.
They discussed themes of common interest, with particular focus on climate change.
The mission was also occasion to promote Rome’s candidacy for Expo 2030.
