The Ambassador of Italy in Australia, Paolo Crudele, was in Melbourne on his first official visit.

- Meetings with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, COMITES Victoria and Tasmania, and the CO.AS.IT of Melbourne;
- Visit of the Fine Food Australia Fair, of the “Italian Pavillon” organized by the Italian Trade Agency for Australia and New Zealand and of the Italian companies;
- Interview with the Italian media outlet “Il Globo” and meeting with the leadership of the Italian Media Corporation;
- Visit of the Exhibition “Created in Italy”, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne in cooperation with the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne.
Main contents:
- Reinforcement of the institutional, economic and cultural relations with the State of Victoria with focus on renewable energies, infrastructure, biotechnologies, defence and aerospace.On the agenda also the Memorandum of Understanding between Victoria and the Lombardy Government, key element to leverage the consolidated partnerships between the Sister Cities Milan and Melbourne;
- Preservation and promotion of the interests of the Italian Community in sinergy between the Italian diplomatic-consular network and the the many actors representing the Italian Community in Victoria;
- Promotion of the Italian food & beverage sector.
