Italy with Rome has submitted its candidacy to host the 2030 Universal Exposition!
The only capital city in the European Union to be a candidate for Expo 2030, in its development of almost three thousand years, Rome has been able to reinvent itself through the centuries, to the point of deserving the nickname ‘the eternal city’.
Its roots, which lie in the continuous drive for innovation, art and integration between faiths and cultures, today become the new starting point towards a future of hospitality and liveability.
Expo 2030 is the ideal opportunity to transform Rome, in the collective imagination, from the cradle of civilisation, which has spread the model of the city par excellence throughout the world, to an intelligent city capable of combining the inestimable richness of the past with an energetic drive towards the future and its challenges.
Rome’s candidacy to host Expo 2030, initiated by the Government and carried forward by the Promoting Committee and Roma Capitale, was officially presented in the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
