Auto Italia fires up the engines at the Embassy of Italy in Canberra

On the occasion of the 2023 edition of Auto Italia, an event celebrating Italian motoring brands that takes place annually in Canberra, the Italian Embassy hosted the Festival’s opening event.
The reception, held at the residence of the Italian Ambassador, Paolo Crudele, was attended by the presidents of the regional and national clubs of the main Italian automotive brands, representatives of the local government and the General Manager of Maserati Australia.
In collaboration with the Auto Italia committee – a non-profit organization that allocates Festival proceeds to charitable organizations – iconic historical and recent models of the Italian automotive industry were exhibited in front of the entrance to the Residence.
On Sunday, April 2, the Festival took place at the suggestive location of Queanbeyan Park. Attended by hundreds of vehicles on display and several thousand visitors.
“The large number of people from all parts of Australia that Auto Italia brings together each year exemplify the passion that Australians have for Italian cars, masterpieces of design, built with love and enthusiasm, as well as at the forefront of technology, with a special focus on performance that is still at the heart of production projects today.” Ambassador Paolo Crudele explained during his speech.
Since 1985 Auto Italia has been one of the leading automotive events in Australia; over the years it has grown in size to become the most successful Italian car festival in the Southern Hemisphere.
