Sydney. Launch of the investment attraction initiative for Australia and New Zealand

The Ambassador of Italy to Australia, Paolo Crudele, and the Director of the Italian Trade Agency in Sydney, Simona Bernardini, presented a new initiative to support Foreign Direct Investments to a qualified group of guests with the aim of increasing the interest of Australian and New Zealand economic operators and facilitating their investments in Italy. The launch event was held at the Sydney office of Deloitte, a partner of the outreach action that will focus primarily on circular economy, renewables, high-tech machinery, and aerospace.

“Leveraging a resilient and diversified economy, a skilled workforce, and an increase in new projects supported also thanks to European funds, Italy’s attractiveness as a destination for foreign capital has significantly increased in recent years. The initiative we are launching today in Sydney is part of those promoted by the Italian Government to increase investments; it represents an effective tool to help identify opportunities, engage potential investors, and outline how to manage the procedures. It constitutes a significant step in enhancing bilateral investment flows,” commented Ambassador Crudele at the conclusion of the event.

Director Simona Bernardini emphasised that “the ITA Office in Sydney, responsible for Australia and New Zealand, is ready to facilitate a smooth investment path in Italy. From navigating national incentives regimes to providing guidance on local employment procedures, our team is equipped to provide support at every stage of the investment cycle.”
