The NO’HMA Association and the Municipality of Milan present the 16th edition of the Teresa Pomodoro International “Teatro Nudo” Prize. Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic with the adhesion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Award aims to contribute to bringing the performing arts into the heart of society, restoring to the theatre its value as an experience, an opportunity for growth and sharing open to all citizens, without distinction of age, social class, gender or geographical affiliation.
The Prize is dedicated to the memory of Teresa Pomodoro, the original inspirer and soul of a concept of theatre open to contamination between the various artistic disciplines which, in the NO’HMA Theatre Space in Via Orcagna, ideally interpenetrate in performances, events and encounters, thus animating the places of social solitude and marginalisation, so that theatre may become a bridge for the excluded and make them the protagonists of its art, recovering its moral function which is first and foremost catharsis, beyond the mimetic role of Aristotelian tradition.
