Embassy participates in “Windows to the World”

Logo generico

On Saturday 21 October, the Italian Embassy Residence opened its doors for “Windows to the World”, a regular event in Canberra where diplomatic missions are invited to showcase traditional art, music and food. Two ACT volunteers were instrumental in the success of the event.

During the public event, Professor Gabriella Quadraccia meticulously provided the many visitors with background information on the artworks on display at the Residence.

In anticipation of such an event, the detailed descriptions of the entire artistic heritage of the Residence have also been made available via QRcode.

Once again, Professor Gabriella Quadraccia played a key role, along with Tabitha and Tanja Taglietti, daughters of Enrico Taglietti, the architect who designed the Residence.

It was also a great success for the only European Embassy stand at “Windows to the World” at Floriade last Saturday 14/10.

Our Venetian masks, fabric bookmarks and the choir of the Dante Alighieri Society were much appreciated by the visitors!

Many thanks to our cultural attaché Valentina Biguzzi, the actress Bianca Bonino, the ACT authorities and all the staff for their hard work.
