Applications are now open for the seventh edition of the prestigious National “BookTuberPrize” Award.
The competition, promoted by the Centre for Books and Reading (MiC), in collaboration with the General Directorate for Students, Inclusion, and Guidance (MIM) and the General Directorate for Public and Cultural Diplomacy (MAECI), aims to foster a love for reading among young people while enhancing their comprehension, synthesis, and critical thinking skills.
How to participate:
The competition is open to all young people aged 11 to 21, both in Italy and abroad, who may participate either through their school or independently.
This year’s edition offers the opportunity to choose from four thematic categories:
Fiction – Novels by Italian authors published from 2000 to today
Poetry – Poetry collections published from 2000 to today
Picture Book – Illustrated books by Italian authors published from 2000 to today
Graphic Novel/Comic – Comics by Italian authors published from 2000 to today
Participants, either individually or in groups of up to three people, must select and read a book or poetry collection, then create a video review (maximum 2 minutes, in mp4 format), describing its content. The video must be uploaded to a YouTube channel as an “unlisted” video and submitted via the Google form:

Awards:
Winners will be announced during the Torino International Book Fair in the first week of May 2025.
Prizes will consist of book vouchers, redeemable at the bookstore that wins the “Il Maggio dei Libri” Prize 2025.
Deadline & Regulations:
Participation is free of charge.
Submissions must be sent by 1:00 PM (local time) on March 31, 2025, following the instructions outlined in the official regulations.
